Actinic Keratosis in St. Louis
Actinic Keratosis is thick, crusty patches of skin. It is more common in fair skinned people who are frequently exposed to the sun. The lesions start out as flat or scaly and can later develop into a thick wart-like substance. They are potentially pre-cancerous as many of them can develop into Squamous Cell Carcinoma so treatment is highly recommended.
If left untreated, actinic keratoses can result in skin cancer. Get rid of those flaky red spots caused by sun exposure with Photodynamic Therapy.
