During treatment a highly concentrated laser is send to the skin, through a cooled handheld device. The pigment found in hair follicles absorbs the laser energy. This means that darker hairs, or hair with more pigment, respond best to laser removal. Once the hair absorbs the light it is warmed and remove from the follicle. Because hairs grow in cycles, it is possible for the hair to grow back finer or smaller. After 3-6 treatments, hair should stop regrowing at the treatment site.
